'67 GMC w/o fuel

My 1967 GMC V6 runs great when I put the gas line into a can. It didn't even do that before I replaced the fuel pump. I also installed an in-line fuel filter before the carburetor. The in-line fuel filter near the gas tank was still patent-the gas in it looked old though it flowed out nicely. I have tried running a small gauge wire through as much of the gas line as I can. So far I have found no clogs. My next great idea was to remove the gas tank and try to clean it out. Any thoughts folks?
Also a tip on how to save some money. I found that the old AC air filter A90CW, which fits my V6 (305?) can be replaced with a micro-GARD GA50084. The cost difference is huge. The original is about $30 in the micro-Gard was about seven dollars.

If your truck runs with fuel line from a can directly to the fuel pump, than I'd suspect the long line along the frame from the tank to the fuel pump. My truck sat for about a 6 months and the line got clogged solid. I had to replace it with one I bought at the auto parts.

I took the old one and ran a thin, flexible wire cable through it along with fuel spray. It took a lot of work but I finally worked out all of the gunk that had solidified in there.
