Looking for a 250 inline 6 in TX/OK/LA
Hey guys, I put a 250 in my truck and it is giving me serious grief, and not going into the issues, if I can come across another one that runs good, I would consider just swapping it out. I am looking for one with a NON- integral head that doesn't smoke, knock etc. I want something I can put in and drive. I have a new Carb, dist, etc so if those are bad that's ok. I want to stick with a 250 just due to the brackets since I have all the accessories already installed on mine (292's are different etc) and I want to swap it out in a day without any additional conversion. I can come get it up to a couple hundred miles.

If not, let me know - I have one that was running before I got it.

Hey Rick, Yup it was a real good one, I should have updated this post, but I guess I am always open to a good running 250 tho... I got it installed and it tonight was it's first freeway trip. It was great... got it up to 90 with no issues at all. How 'bout that stepside bed that you have?

Re: Looking for a 250 inline 6 in TX/OK/LA
I got the engine now, but I was also looking for a stepside bed, a 67-72 model. Lately I have been contemplating a 73-87 stepside bed too, but a 67-72 would probably be best for the body lines though. Do you have a decent one around? I don't do body work
