http://www.fbirides.com/ The gas tank came from Tucker's...... Hey chief, how do you like that 1 ton corporate 14 bolt rear end I dropped off at your shop? That's some real beef. Never gonna break that sucker. You can go ahead and cut the trailing arm perchs off (don't worry about the tube) the HO72 rear end to transfer over to the 14 bolt. Talked to Randy at Blackbirds trucks in Spokane. He has a sweet disc brake upgrade kit for that 14 bolt 8 lug that looks sweet.

I'm back (finally) with some more progress....Got a mess of pictures...so sit back and enjoy......
These are just misc. line mock-up, nothing much....  -  -  -  -  -  -  - What I wanted to do was add a schrader valve to the tank, but I didn't want to add another tee (to keep it clean) so what I did is tap the elbow fitting. -  -  -  - By add this scharder valve, you can fill the tank with shop air (good for when servicing your truck at home, to avoid using your compressors)....or you can use it to fill tires, etc. from the tank using one of those clamp on disconnects...I always try to think ahead....

Preppin the frame for the c-notch by removing all the rivoted and bolted components....
-  -  - - Here's the MASSIVE 14 bolt that's going in the '67..... -  -  -  -  - Makes the stocker look tiny.... -  - Back to preppin... -  -  - add to the coleection..... -  - -

OK...here are some more pics of the notch mock up install....
What we decided for this application, is that we didn't need the full notch, so what I did is cut is down a little.... -  -  -  -  - Mirror image for the other side.... -

 - Time to get this rearend out of my way....These U-bolts were RUSTED SOLID into the trailing arms.....I thought I would bust out something I haven't used in a long time...  THE TORCH !!! I tried heating them up, but they would not move, so.....-  -  -  -

More rivets to deal with....
 -  - Left side outer tacked in place... -  - Tacked the R/S outer on, then I used these pieces of T-angle (you might have this steel in your garage and not even know it...just look up  ) as guides to install the inside plates even and square...-  -  -  -

I had to trim the frame in the same place to get a nice fit. Looking good! Those KP notches are well worth the $$$.
