Turn signal canceller
Hello guys, I just replaced the turn sig. cam, but am still having the same problem. The old one was the factory one and had a crack. The new one went in with no probs but will not cancel on the right turn. The left turn clicks off as should when wheels go strait. What else could be going on here. Also as a side bar the super charger came in this past Wed. it will find its new home in a few weeks. Thank you and all have a grand weekend. M

Re: Turn signal canceller
Are you sure the return spring is in there? Should be one for each side, a small round circle spring that cancels the trun signals.

Re: Turn signal canceller
You can get those little springs at most parts stores.

Re: Turn signal canceller
Ditto on the return cancel springs.
For some reason, my left spring always breaks shortly after installing a new one. I finally just gave up and manually cancel after left turns. Everything looks normal to me, obviously I'm missing something...

Re: Turn signal canceller
I had a similar problem. I went to Autozone and bought one of the turn signal repair kits in the "HELP" section. I installed the new cam and the new springs, and it wouldn't cancel either one. I put the old one back in with the new springs, and now it only cancels the left turn, the right one only works every once in awhile. Probably because it's a cheap foreign part, need to find some GM ones I guess.

Re: Turn signal canceller
I had also a problem with the new one.
But with cutting a bit away from the back side of the oval hole where the spring is mounted it was solved. |

Re: Turn signal canceller
I bought the whole kit new also and then had that problem still, so I took the springs from the old one and then it worked. The plastic was cracked that is why I replaced it. I call the place I bought it they refunded me for 2 springs and mentioned they had some issues with then and where sending springs to customers and changing vendors or notifying them or something like that
