Production #'s
It seems there is a difference in data on production #'s of trucks like mine. I called a friend at GM (used to work with him in powertrain devo) and his partner works for Moss. He pulled the reords for the truck and he said there were only 1930 of them made. I thumbed through a couple books locally and went to a few websites and they alll GREATLY differ from 1770 (red book) to 9000+. Does anyone know who has researched this conclusively?
The truck, by the way, is as follows. 1967 , 3/4 ton, 4WD (that cuts it down fast right there) Options as follows. - 327 4bbl - 4 speed - HD transfer (t221) (according to GM it WAS an option) - Air conditionining - A/C tinted glass - front locking hubs - radio - Amm/oil gauges - h/d shocks - Custom group - 4l30dc (not sue what that one is) - H/D load leafs - NOT the ones that clamp to the stack (according to GM a dealer installed option) I have all the original paprework and option sheet and can provide all the optin codes if anyone can help tell me how many of these were made...... I have even found the original owner and he said he bought ALL the options he could except the small rear window as he "thought it looked dangerous". thanks in advance and Merry Christmas |

1967 3/4 ton 4x4. 2,773 Fleetsides and 872 Stepsides were made. Not all with the same options you have.

71 Chev - Yes thats the info I recieved from my Chevrolet contact (his exact # was 2779 for fleetsides, which mine is) and he said there may be some cross over between the codes on the 327/283 so his best guess was at MOST 1930 and probably more like 1500 due to the v8 codes being "reused early in 1967".
The other thing someone e-mailed me about was the rarity of air-conditioning on these trucks and his thought was realistically the total # of trucks with ALL my options may be down around several hundred BEFORE accounting for whats left today. What do you guys think? I really had no idea as all I knew was I wanted a 3/4 4x4 and had gven up on the 67/68 series untill I found this one. I was close to buying a 69-up and switching the front clip..... Boy this board is addicting when you are on vacation...... |

There is no way of finding out how many were ordered with the exact same options as your 67 though.
