travel limit devices
I am putting air bags on my 4x4 so I can haul lots of firewood and let them down for a softer ride. I need to limit the travel so the bags don't pop.
I see a lot of guys use nylon straps.. I have a hard time with that idea. it just doesn't seem strong enough. I am thinking about chain, but it seems like there might be a lot of shock and might bust something. If I hit a bumb and the truck bounces up, it could snap pretty hard. Any good ideas? Thanks

You can buy limiting staps that prevent the axle from dropping down to far. They are nylon, but they arn't going to break. They are big like a tow strap. Don't get any that don't look like you could pull a vehical with'em. I would much rather have these straps than a chain. And to limit travel upwards you just need to have the correct size bump-stops.
