The first truck I ever bought!
1970 Chevy C10. It had 250 six, and 420 tranny. I paid $250 for it and had to trade in my 10 speed bike. Not too bad for a 15 year old kid with no job!

Even though that truck wasn't much, I still wish I had it! I guess your first truck will always be special, no matter how junky it was!!

Your 82 is your first, eh? That's cool. If you can, don't ever sell it! You'll always wish you had it!

Let's see,
I had the 70 Chevy C10, a 77 Blazer 2WD, an 87 Toyota pickup (big mistake), the 81 I have now, an 83 C20, an 86 suburban, and the 86 K-10. I think that's it. Except for the brief lapse of judgement with the Toyota, I've been a Chevy man all my life. I was going to college, and needed to get something that good gas mileage. The Toyota worked, it was just too small. That's when I got involved with diesels. I can now drive full-size, 3/4 ton or bigger vehicles, and get as good or better mileage than the Toyotas and Hondas. Oh, I also own an 80 Ford B-700, which is just an school bus. I keep my tools in it to make service calls. I'll soon be replacing it with a cargo trailer. It has a 370, and gets about 5 mpg!!! Yuck!
