Hydro assist steering questions, PTO option

I found a couple oddities in a junkyard today, and need some educating. I found a 67 GMC flatbed, 1 ton or better. It had this little funky steering set up I hadn't seen before. What I want to know is if this will work on a 4x4 by using a different mounting to the tie rod, and if it is even worth the trouble. I know guys with larger tires use a different steering system, but I don't know if this is the set up. Is this stronger than the normal power assist?

Next was a PTO which was added to a manual transmission. This was on another 1 ton flatbed in the same yard. The only reason I found it was that I came across the manual for it in the glove box, looked underneath and there it was. Is it worth anything?

Lastly, a truck had some newer style buckets added in. I have no interest in the seats, but I was wondering if these brackets are original bucket seat mounts. Anyone know?

Thanks in advance for any info.

the power steering set up is a stock 67 and late 68 piece. It COULD be an add on, but probablynot. They were better then manual, but normally just leaked and went bad. It was added to a manual steering set up. Very much like early vettes.

Any opinions on the seat brackets or PTO?

The bucket seat brackets don't look like anything truck related. I would say definetly "NO".

I don't know anything aout the PTO so I can't help there either.

I hit 50% - sorry I couldn't do better - Bob

I have seen PTOs on larger trucks being used for such things as driving a hydraulic system for a lift bed.
