lift needed to clear tires?

Have a 1970 suburban going to put 38x15.5 with 12" wide rims on what kind of lift they say the 8" will clear 40"??? Im thinking maybe 10" lift?

I have a 6" lift and the axles moved back 1" to clear mine. Still very tight though. I'd recomend at least 8" if you plan on wheelin'.
