Re: Is a LWB frame the same as a Suburban/Wagon
I'm making a guess........but a shorty is roughly 115" and a long bed is about a foot longer....at least thats what Ive seen cut out of long beds to make em short.........so a long bed wheel base should be in the neighborhood of 127"..........nice burb.

if the total length of the body is 199" then it uses a 115" wheelbase-short. If the total body length is 235" then its a long wheel base 127" frame. they made both.

The frames may be the same length, but they are not the same. Rear horns are diff from what I gather.

The Suburban Frames Were All 115 Inch Wheelbases...............same As The Short Bed Pick-up Trucks....................the Long Panels And Longbed Trucks Were 127 Inch Wheelbases................i Believe The Rear Frame Horns Are Different Because A Front Bumper Will Fit On The Back Of A Burb Or Panel...........i Like The Color Of Your Burb.........hemmit

Re: Is a LWB frame the same as a Suburban/Wagon
The front bumper will fit on the rear, but the frame doesn't line up with the holes in the bumper. A fleetside rear bumper fits just fine, but then you have two places to put your license plate. I currently have 2 front bumpers on my 61 suburban, the one in the back is not too secure until I get around to making some brackets for it. the frame is the same as the swb pickup.
