best way to sell my truck

I'm trying to sell my truck (the 72 GMC). I've listed it on this website and craigslist. I also have a sign in the window saying its for sale.

What other methods of trying to sell it should I use? I'm not real desperate to sell it, but would like to go ahead and get rid of it so I have the money freed up to use on the 68 I'm building.

Do people still look in news papers?

What about ebay?

Re: best way to sell my truck

Looked at your for sale thread. Very nice truck, if it's as nice in person (which I'm sure it is) it's well worth the price.

Personally, I would add a bunch more pictures to your add. You show one side of the truck and (no offense) a crappy pic of only half the interior For the price your asking, you need a picture of every angle of the truck, underneath, under the hood, and even though you say the body is excellent, still show the "typical rust areas" just to ease people's minds and to get them to come look at it. Like I said, I think it's worth the price, so show why it is

Plus, you listed it less than a week ago, give it time, list it in the local autotrader or craigslist. Personally, I think a lot of people distrust ebay for buying vehicles, and I'm not a fan of ebay either.

Nice truck and best of luck

Re: best way to sell my truck

man that's a nice truck...keep it dude!

I bought killer off of ebay...if you do it right there's a good chance it'll sell for that price...just don't give up if it doesn't happen on the first try.

Re: best way to sell my truck

You might also try the Truck trader type ads. I had my 72 posted online for a couple months. Even dropped the price from 15K to 10K to sell it. Put it into the truck trader and sold for the original 15K to the 1st person who looked at it. IMO if someone has to go buy the Autotrader and then make a phone call they are usually more interested in finding something that someone who will jusy reply to a post and ask for more pics or even lowball you. Once again that's just my opinion. Good luck it's a nice truck.

actually I had it posted earlier, deleted that post and reposted so it would be nearer the top

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll try different craigslist listings.....Portland isn't too far and I see stuff from there often.

Might try autotrader route too.
