Re: Edelbrock 1406 Carb opinions

I had a 1405 on the 327 I had in my truck. Overall it ran great. Over the years that I ran it I did a little tuning on it, rebuilt it twice (2nd time didn't really need it....different problem), and added the electric choke. I switched to a holley for a short time, but quickly wend back to the edelbrock.

Re: Edelbrock 1406 Carb opinions

I have the 1406 on my 350 with a Performer RPM manifold and headers. This is the second one I have had. The first one started to leak and replaced it two years ago with a new one. Runs great. Never had any problems starting when sitting.
