new frame rails done! "pics"

Well this weekend I made my new rear frame rails. There 3x4 with 2x4 crossmembers. Finally have the bed back on. Pics are from a cell phone, I will get better ones tomorrow.

my truck sitting high

I am trying to get it ready for the bbq in san jose on saturday.

i concur! but one thing that i see is that the bed looks like that it needs to go up about an inch or so. but friggen awesome job on the welds for your frame!! photos ain't too bad for bein cell phone photos. what kinda welder did you use?? mig, ark, tig or torch??

if you can pull off 22 " wheels low riden' it will look fat! I can picture your truck black and crome. it'll really pop. keep it up. good idea.

yes i need to raise the bed because there is no more wood on the floor. I used my millermatic 251 mig. I will try and get some better pics today.

my floor in the front will b stock height. In the back it will be raised about 2 inches. I will have huge wheels tubes with a notch cover. And a raised V shape for my upper links and drive shaft. The air tanks and valves will be between the rails in the back and I will have a beer keg gas tank in the front sitting sideways. I am also going to have sheet metal going from my bed rails to about 2 inches in on the floor to get the sides in the bed smoother. Thinking about having the tail gate open sideways too but havent decided yet.
