Need ideas
I've think I've decided to paint a fake business on the doors of my roadster when I get it done. Kind of like the rat rod look that people do. Was looking for some ideas. My blazer will be satin black. I'm a big Van Halen fan and probably want something to go that route. My daughter's name is Halen and thought about going that way also. Something with her name in it. Maybe where the phone number ends in 5150. I liked Tim's friends truck, so I posted a pic of it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Need ideas
That is a cool idea! If you're old enough, you remember that there were letters at the front of a phone number in the "olden days" like EX4-1213--that would be a neat addition. Your initials? Your wife's?
Van Halen--Hager or Roth? If it's Hager, something of the "I can't go 55." Not sure where to go with Roth. Music based? Music store? "Lessons Available" "We Deliver" Again, cool idea... |

Re: Need ideas
Yeah, that's the truck that originally gave me the idea. That truck is in one of my truck magazine. I'd like to have the 572 in it
I did think of that number Craig, but I had 1-984-316-5150, 316 being the guitar solo on the For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. Like the ideas. Keep them coming

Re: Need ideas
Halen's Anorexia Outreach Center, Conquering anorexia one plateful at a time! You could have the first four words done in an arch on the door underneath which would be a big greasy plate of ribs, fries and a beer. The last seven words would be underneath the pic along with the ph# of your choice. You would just have to make sure that you wore your "I beat anorexia" T shirt whenever you went cruisin!

At no point during that post did I refer to you as fat. You actually looked very skinny in this pic.

Re: Need ideas
Here are a few examples I hope they can be of help. Laurie Peterson's RR. has been in all kinds of rod mag's and is a pretty cool ride. He lives in Vancouver what we Islanders refer to as the mainland 36 miles away by ferry. His sister believe it or not did the postal sign for the truck on both doors and it looks the part aged and all.
esll.

Re: Need ideas
ABLAZN, that's freakin awesome. I think I'd take out the Jump'n line and have the Everybody Wants Some line right under the phone number. Love it. That nails it.

how about a play on "Hell on Wheels" Halen Wheels or Van Halen Wheels with a flaming wheel in the center. Below "Burnouts welcome" or "Smoke'm if you Got'm".

Re: Need ideas
Thank you very much. I am glad that you like it. The Jump'n line was actually more of an after thought and does seem a little strange now that I look at it. I did have one more thought about this. Maybe for your picture, you could have a picture of a 1950's diner with the band members placed in it. You could have them as customers in the diner or have them sitting at a bus stop outside. Again just an idea that I had while working my night shift.Of course the standard VH symbol is easier and always cool too. I do have one favor to ask if you do use this. I would like a picture of your Blazer with it on it and a nice big 8x10 of the logo. My wife likes to scrap book some of the things that I do on my Blazer and I want her to do a section with other Blazers.
