Fuel Injection Kits??
I just put a new GM Crate 350 in my truck, and I am wanting to put Fuel Injection on it, make it a lil more daily drivable and easier start ups in the winter. Just seeing if you guys had any kits on your trucks>
Thanks Wes ![]()

Re: Fuel Injection Kits??
I made my own 'kit' with a TBI setup I pulled off a truck that was being parted out. It was actually pretty easy, and I have about $600 in it total.

Re: Fuel Injection Kits??
A new one out that looks just like a regular carb made by Boos ( I believe). Around 2300 bucks.

Re: Fuel Injection Kits??
I have this one from Howell http://www.howellefi.com/shop/custom...cat=252&page=1
It is reasonably priced at $1200, comes with all GM parts and sensors, it is a complete kit with everything you need. It can also be used with late model computer controled distributor if you want. I have had this kit on my blazer for about 6 years now and have had no problems other than an injector going bad. I have one of their earlier kits that came with a holley aftermarket throttle body and the injecters are not as good as the gm ones. Brent |

Re: Fuel Injection Kits??
For the cost involved, you might as well swap a GenIII engine into your truck.

The Holley Projection TBI kits are less than $1000

Re: Fuel Injection Kits??
Those Holley kits are cheap cause it dont come with much at all...
I really like the Mass Flo kit, but $3000 is way too much I think. Thx for the suggestions fellas.

Re: Fuel Injection Kits??
I installed a Holley Projection system on a chevy car I have and hated it! Holley has the worst customer service.
Look at something else. |

Re: Fuel Injection Kits??
All of the complete kits I've seen are in excess of $2,500, usually in the range of $3500-4000 to get a good kit (all-inclusive). I was shopping around before I settled in my LS1. You don't need an LS1, any GenIII engine will do. You'll get the same bang for buck, realistically, and upgrade parts on the GenIII engines are plentiful and cheap, regardless whether it's a 4.8/5.3/5.7/6.0
Sorry to re-affirm my opinion so soon, but ... I feel bad for those companies charging so much, they're just gonna lose business because salvage engines from late model GM vehicles offer everything they have in their overpriced kits...and then some.
