WIW / What should I ask

Ok guys, it's time for me to sell Kilroy

I just dunno what he's really worth... I have a few prices in mind, but want to see what ya'll think

Here is a little info bout em

67 GMC LWB narrow bed
GMC 305 V-6 / 3-ott
Drum Drum
Basically stock minus the obvious & the new exhaust / tail lights
Daily driven, has a oil leak & occasionally gets stuck in between gears
Really strait, minus a dent in the drivers rear fender "that prolly won't be there when I go to sell em"
Has some rocker rust & the cab corners are starting to rust
Need wood in the bed

Tell me if you need more pics or anything

Thanks, Matt

I'll throw out a number.

$1750

It's looks $500 better than one I paid $1250 for.

Re: WIW / What should I ask

id prolly sell it for about 950 +...mainly cause your in texas and its easy to find good ones..and no offense to the gmc crowd IMHO but the chevys seems alil easier to unload...but what you got going for it is its old school..kinda the same as someone looking at an 88 s-10 and an 88 s-15..peeps tend to go with the chevy cause its well known and popular just my .02 cents

Re: WIW / What should I ask

1-1.5K It's a GMC (I happen to love the 67 GMC, but for some reason a lot don't ), it's a crappy yellow (yellow is awesome, but this one looks like some kind of DOT house paint), and it's a longbed stepside. Not the most desirable truck to most people. Plus, the new owner is going to have a lot of holes to fill in the top of the cab.

Re: WIW / What should I ask

ask about half of what you really want - that seems to work

Re: WIW / What should I ask

Put it on ebay and let it fly.

There is probably a small subset of 67-72 enthusiasts looking for such a ummm... unique combination of add ons, color and bed style.

Spend a day removing the stuff, clean it up and your value will probably double.

Re: WIW / What should I ask

My suggestion to clean up the look somewhat would be to remove the cab junk, keeping the screws and reinstall the screws to fill the holes the PO drilled. Add a dob of silicone to the tip of the screw before reinstalling to keep the rain out. Put the cab add ons on EBAY, You can never tell who thinks that stuff looks good...Just my opinion
