Re: 16.5 rims
I vote they will fit too. I have 3 sets of 16.5's, one is even the original split rims. Tire choices are very limited though.

Re: 16.5 rims
If the wheels are 71 or newer, yes.
in 71 they went to a larger diameter wheel stud, and the older wheels won't fit on the newer studs. Off road guys have a great selection of tires in the 16.5 size. It's street tires that are hard to locate. |

I must be looking in the wrong place then. Where should I be looking for 16.5 tires? I would like to keep my 16.5's for a while but I could only find like 1 tire that was still made in that size and it was more of a highway tire. unless you are talking a floatation tire?

Re: 16.5 rims
most of the bigger tire makers are still producing 16.5s-- but like longhorn man stated, most are 33" or larger mainly in off road tread patterns.

Re: 16.5 rims
For a long time the government was running 16.5 tires on alot of vehciles like the Hummer, etc. Some brainiac got the idea that they should change out all the wheels and tires to 17 inch. Therefore there are loads of government surpolus 16,5 wheels and tires sitting around.
I suspect these will make their way into the market pretty soon. BTW: I put a wanted ad in the local craigslist and within a week I had four new tires and a completely sandblasted and painted set of 16.5 wheels. |

Re: 16.5 rims
ProComp only makes 12.50/33x16.5s,that`s it.But,BFG and Interco(Swampers) are all available in many 16.5 sizes.Also Gateway(Ground Hawgs & Mudders)offers 16.5s.
Try General Tire for all seasons on 9.50x16.5.

Re: 16.5 rims
I believe Mickey Thompson is ending all the 16.5's this Fall. That was the reason I bought the ones I have. Thinking that the one I got is the only one they had left that was 16.5. They are going away fast.
