Re: 400 engine setup any thoughts
That should be a fun toy .
I have close to that at my dads house but its .30 over I used the GM Pink riods and I used fastburn heads. I used a lt4 hot cam and roller rockers and crane roller lifters. I polished the rods crank and block before i took it to the machine shop. then had then balance every thing. I was goint to use a TPI on it and never finished puting it together. Its going in my 68 fire bird one of these days.

Re: 400 engine setup any thoughts
I have heard that the Hi vol/high pressure oil pumps sometimes wash out the main bearings.I've never had it happen but most engine builders I know say the stock pump is plenty for the small blocks.
