heater core fun
got up today went to a local car show. came home changed oil. now i have coolant in floorboard on passenger side. looks like i'm gonna have fun tomorrow. i've read all the old threads about changing the core and it sounds like a day of fun. does anyone have any pointers? i might bypass it and start on it and finish it later. down here in alabama it wont be too cold for a while.

Re: heater core fun
Do you have A/C or not? It took me right about 2 hours to do a heater core swap in my '79 but it's a plain-Jane truck so I only needed to unhook three cables and undo several bolts to get the plenum box out. Take pics of stuff before you take said stuff apart, it may prove real helpful when you start putting everything back together.

Re: heater core fun
Dry that coolant up on the floorboards...or they'll rust up pretty quick.

Re: heater core fun
It is sandwiched between the inner fender and the heater box! You get to it by removing your inner fender.
Remember your having fun! esll.
