Re: Alluminum Driveshaft Question
I appreciate all the input. Thanks again.
The reason I went with a 1 piece is because the trailing arm setup that comes in the Air Ride Kit does not support it. I could have made it work but I still would have had to do some modification and it would not have looked as cool with both crossmembers in there. ha, ha. This was a gmc set up with rear leafs, now it has the kit you see in the pic. If I run into problems I guess I will just have to fix it. Thanks again, and I will continue to review all posts. |

Re: Alluminum Driveshaft Question
I have a custome 3" aluminum driveshaft in my truck with a transbrake, making around 680hp to flywheel and haven't had any problems. I have 1350 ujoints, moser 33spline axels, full spool. I just replaced worn slicks with a set of 28/14.5/16 which should hook alot better than the 10.5 slicks that i did have. bought my shaft online at driveline specalist and cost me 292.00. He claimed to be rated around 1000hp. I figured id try it and so far very happy with it.
