72 big block power steering question
If I use a long water pump set up can I use a pump and brackets off a donor vehicle or do I have to use a factory 72 set up?

Re: 72 big block power steering question
To use the stock PS pump and bracket you will need a short water pump.

Re: 72 big block power steering question
I am wanting to use a long set up for both water pump and power steering if the p/s will fit with the frame.

Re: 72 big block power steering question
Try Alan Grove brackets. When I installed my Vintage Air kit it came with a compressor bracket from here and it fits and looks factory. Here is there web address. Maybe they have something that will work for you.

Re: 72 big block power steering question
p/s will fit in the frame with no problem. You will need the brackets and pullies off a long water pump setup.

Re: 72 big block power steering question
Cool. Does anyone have pics of a big block long water pump and power steering on a 72?

Re: 72 big block power steering question
Im running lwp parts on my 69. Just use the brackets for the 73-up bb trucks. If you dont have a pump yet, get the later pump too. It will save a little of the hassle of the return tube...

Re: 72 big block power steering question
Thanks CORN. I have all the lwp crome pulleys, aluminum water pump and crome lwp alternator brackets and was not sure if the p/s pump would work. Good news.
