Mounting my Bucket seats. Any advice?

I am trying to mount some seats out of a Ford Escape in my '87 chevy truck. The sliders are roughly 17"X16" Does anyone know of any universal mounts or designs for the floor. It would just be so nice to just remove the brackets from the seats and mount the sliders to like a flat piece of plate. Any advice?


My next alternative is to bust out the torch, heat up the brackets, bend them to fit and bolt them down.

I upgraded the 73 Blazer with 82 mid back buckets and the mounting holes were off a bit. If you dont mind but of extra altitude. This worked great.

I used a construction channel product called AnvilStrut (commonly know as Powerstrut, UniStrut etc) Avail at plumbing and HVAC suppliers.

Cut 2 pieces each about 1 inch wider then the base mounting holes. Adapted spacers for any gaps and to make level. And added 4 of the stud nuts. Whats cool is you don't need to mess with drilling plates and verifying fit. The elongated holes on the channel matched up easily with the base holes and the stud nuts can be moved right or left, allowing for perfect centering of the seat!!

Pretty cheap too.
