If I had the money, I'd definately buy it if it's as you describe! The GMCs are even harder to find than the Chevys. you might try to talk the owner down some and see if he will budge from the asking price. That's what I do when I buy one, no matter what it is. ...Joe

I was surprised to see it all original. I wish he would of rebuilt the motor instead of putting a crate motor in it. All it had was oil leaks and ran fine.

You can & should inquire about the original motors whereabouts, you never know. Cb

I drove the truck around . It is clean. But it had no power. And the rear popped around a corner while turning. I think the spider gears are going out. it said it has a posi. i can't see spending 17,000 for it. But if someone wants to know where it is I can tell you.

Re: 72 4x4 SWB Sierra Grande

if it's a posi rear end, it may just need a new oil change with some friction modifier addative. sounds like a good deal if it's as nice as you stated. it's a rare truck indeed.

That is just the posi (honest) it just needsd some posi additive and it will quit sticking. The power issue may be gearing. 16 seems high, but if its clean, get it. How many short bed 4X Sierra Grandes have you seen? NONE
