LOOK what followed me home ALL ORIGINAL, look what I am pulling it with. LOTS of Pics
Before anyone razzes me about my FX4, I never found a Chevy I wanted, I will ALWAYS be a Chevy guy, it beats buying an import I picked up this Blazer 3 hours away from me. It is ALL original, it has the original paint, interior, number matching engine, protect-o-plate & extra docs, even the original Uniroyal H78-15 spare tire. I was always looking for a true original Blazer untouched, 4 speed and A/C. This thing even has the original points distributor, which may be changed to HEI, but it runs great. The PO had it for 6 months and bought it from the original owner, a 75 yr old man, he had bought it new. Little rust and ALL original. This is my first Blazer, I also have an original 1972 Cheyenne Super SWB stepside, one re-paint. One question if anyone can help, I got the original paper work for the Selectro manual hubs, can anyone tell me about them, are they good or bad? Thanks all. More pics soon.

First of all, congrats on a killer Blazer, WELCOME to the board and welcome to the ochre club (I, too, have an similarly hued K5). Since it's inevitable around these parts, I'll go ahead and ask, do you mind telling us what you paid for that jewel?

That is a clean Blazer. Congrats on the purchase.
You need to find a way to repro the jack instructions on the rear wheel well. There aren't many of those that have made it this long. Can you take some high-res pictures of the jack instructions?

Ok will do, thanks all. This Blazer is unreal, has original carpet, seats, etc... original engine. Anyone know anything about the Selectro manual hubs?

NICE blazer!!!!! Selectro are aftermarket hubs, not real good in my opinion, if I were you I'd try to find a set of original ones to put on it. Wugunguy had a thread on parts board of a set he found on Craigslist for $40 I think, you could pm him and ask for details on how to get ahold of the seller. Again SWEET blazer, was it on ebay? For some reason I remember seeing it somewhere. Randy

Re: LOOK what followed me home ALL ORIGINAL, look what I am pulling it with. LOTS of
Congrats on the awsome Blazer! Years ago my first car was a 67 CJ-5 and it had Selectro hubs. I owned the rig for a very long time and abused the heck out of it. I broke just about every thing on that poor old Jeep but never once did I have a problem with those Selectro hubs. That Blazer deserves original hubs but I don't think you need to worry about breaking those Selectro hubs if you decide to keep them.

sweet! as soon as i saw the pics...i thought you had to be in TX cuz of the oaks in the pic. there's 4 of us here in SA with blazers. you have us beat as far as condition is concerned. great find. mind if i ask how much you paid? welcome to the club....once we get ours all fixed up, it would be awesome to have 5 72's cruising around town. i just got a new job and should now be able to afford spending some $$ on it. one of these days we'll do it!

Re: LOOK what followed me home ALL ORIGINAL, look what I am pulling it with. LOTS of
Thanks all. My plans are to leave it original and perfectly restore it some day. My two boys love it, 3 & 8. The original paint still shines, the only bummer is that one rocker needs to be replaced and a lil bit of rust on the quarters. One other thing is that the SPID does not list A/C but it clearly is factory air. Hey Blue Thunder and Blizz we need to get together one of these days.

Re: LOOK what followed me home ALL ORIGINAL, look what I am pulling it with. LOTS of
Yes this is the one that was on eBay. I asked him how much and he offered it as a buy it now private sale. I was a bit reluctant but it was only 2-3 hrs away from me. He was a good honest guy described it no more no less as he said. I bought it on the spot. He replaced all the U-Joints, clutch, fluids, re-sealed it, etc... I like that it has the original engine, it does not smoke and runs great with the points (soon to have HEI). All the ones I was looking at were either lifted too high, not restored right, too expensive or non-original. I like factory original Blazers, like they say; they are not making anymore of them
