What do you know about door hinges?
Someone has to know a source for the parts of the door hinge that keep the door open. I replaced the pins and bushings, but the other parts are very worn. They come apart, and I guess I could bild up the metal part, but the little brake like pucks are worn down. All the hinges I have are just as worn as the others. Does anyone know if these "pucks" are used on any cars of the 60's or 70's, maybe a rear on a 4 door would not be so gone? Thank you for your help.

You might have to buy a new set of hinges. Chances are all the holes are gonna be all worn out and too big

Call your GM dealer and order part #3891811 which is the steel retainer with the little rectangular plastic puck, if you want just the puck its part#15672666 or give us a ring we stock them and the door hinges.

GMC Paul Thank you! I have bookmarked your site it looks great. I will most likely shop with you in the future. I looked for hinges a while back and had no luck, I guess new stuff is always popping up.
