New pics of the $350 Blazer
I had the blazer outside today and took a few pics....It started as a $350 blazer running, driving and the 4wd worked, and was mostly complete. The motor was a crate motor a few years back and has a edelbrock 650 and aluminum intake.Tranny is a stock TH350 and has the NP205 t-case.Stock axles with 3:73s and has a posi in the rear It has a B&M shifter on it now,but is going to be replaced with a stock setup once I get a set of 4wd linkages. It came with stock buckets in the front and rear seat with all the brackets.I put in a windshield frame and a windshield, put on a stock front bumper, did alot of body work, changed the hood and tailgate, and replaced drivers side door.I need to get the fender cups welded in,finish on the windshield frame, finish the rear floor, and primer and put on some cheap flat black paint..I am getting a better set of bumpers,I am also putting a 4" lift on it this winter and some 33s or 34s on rallys. The single wall top and hatch in ok shape was $200.I have about $650 in it now, ready for the road but not the best looking. Not to bad of a price,eh? It should be a good 4wd for the winter, and a fun one to cruise around in with the top off once it warms back up next year..Note the hood isn't closed all the way,so that is why there is a gap between the hood and fenders
What it looked like when I first got it.... Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 10-28-2007 at 05:48 PM. Reason: added before pics |

Ebay...I bought a 4wd '69 off ebay in Wisconsin a few years back and was really wanting a blazer or jimmy, running or not.I seen this one in Northern Kentucky and it wasn't too far away to kill the deal so I went for it.It was listed once, was suppose to be sold but then relisted a week or 2 later.I watched it and waited to the last day..Entered the winning bid 25 seconds before it ended and got it...A few weeks later it was home.I worked on it,tuned it up,pulled the top off and enjoyed driving it from the end of August till mid October with the top off. Re: New pics of the $350 Blazer
You've made some great progress on that for sure. I love bargains like that. I got my K5 for $600 or $650, don't remember which at the moment, and you know how much fun I'm having with it!

Re: New pics of the $350 Blazer
You can read my thread in the 4wd section for a complete story but here is a summary...The front springs on my 71 4wd werent arched enough so the company sent me new springs free of charge.I still have these old ones which were a 4" lift spring, but they aren't arched for a 4" lift. All I have to do is arch the springs, and then they will be a 4" lift spring. Then I will only have to get rear blocks,u bolts, and shocks and then I'll have a 4" lift for the blazer..I figure maybe $200 total in the lift..Looks like it may gain a few inches in a few weeks.I'll probably take it over to my buddies shop which has a lift to make the install a little easier and quicker.
