Fenders

Is there any difference in a GMC and a Chevy fender?

Also, I know the 67-68 Chevy fenders are different from the 69-72 (right?), what about the radiator support? Is it different too?

Thanks.

Re: Fenders

The core support on 67 and 68s is different then the other years on Chevy. I don't know about the GMC. I think the GMC fenders are all the same as the 67-68 chev. But I am not positive.

Re: Fenders

The 67 Chevy and GMC fenders are the same, the 68s are the same also and will work on a 67 but they have the side marker lights. As far as the 69-72 Chevy they will not work on a GMC, I am not sure of the 69-72 GMC fenders though I think that they will work but not sure.

Re: Fenders

don't quote me, but I believe the GMC fenders stayed the same from 67-72, while Chevy changed for 69-72.

Re: Fenders

Is there a quick way to tell the different fenders apart just by looking at one of them. Thanks again.

Re: Fenders

The front edge of the 69-72 is recessed for the outer grill shell.

Re: Fenders

The 69-ups aren`t finished out at the front edge,They usually have some wrinkles in the metal that gets covered by the grille. The fenders are longer in the front, but hard to spot.I look at the front enge and see if it looks finished or not.
