Has anyone changed the front two block freeze plugs without pulling engine. I can change back two but front two appear to be behind motor mounts, I do not want to take engine out to change these twoo theres got to be another way, Its a 1972 GMC 350 stock engine. thanks

Put a block of wood under the oil pan and jack it way up. Remove the engine mounts and frame stands and have at it. Use a socket and a hammer to install the new ones.

They are 1 5/8" by the way

I feel better already thanks. Never removed motor mounts how many bolts?

Three bolts hold the mount to the block. They will be 9/16 socket size.

Three bolts hold the frame stands to the truck. There will be one nut on each stand that's hard to get to. You have to work your hand up into the bottom of the crossmember to keep it from turning while removing the bolt.

There is one bolt each that holds the frame stand and motor mount together. It's usually 5/8 socket size, depending on what brand of motor mounts someone has installed over the years.

It still has original mounts. Sounds like about 1/2 day job maybe. Thanks for the info I appreciate it.My son is a firefighter also.
