285/75/16s with 6" lift?
anybody have any pictures of a 67-72 with a 6" lift, with 285/75/16 tires? i just won a lift on ebay, and i have a feeling its going to be put in the shed untill i can afford tires that'll look right on it
heres a pic of it with my "homemade" (3" rancho rear blocks, approx. 3" front spring) lift, and 285/75/16s on 16x7 whitespokes

285 are a 33in tire so you will probably want more tire.

6" will be screamin`for 35s.285s will fit on a stock truck,so figure 6 extra inches of lift not needed. They look great with a 4",though.Just may be too spindley for you.

Re: 285/75/16s with 6" lift?
If we are talking about the same lift kit,you got a good deal on it! I think you should just keep yours as is and sell me that lift , since I was going to bid on it for my blazer, but forgot about the auction till afterwards..
I agree,with the 6" lift the 285s will look small..a 34" minimum but still looks a little small with a 6" lift.. Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 11-01-2007 at 08:39 PM. |

Yep,that's it! I think you got a good deal on it,although most don't like a rear block more than 4"...It would be nice if the front shocks were included though,eh?

Re: 285/75/16s with 6" lift?
yeah no kiddin, id like to get some ranchos anyways though... i think what i'll eventually do is shackle flip the rear to get rid of the blocks, and have a 6/4" lift. even without shocks, i think $212 plus shipping is a good deal
