Re: aluminum radiator
I have to check my truck to see what brand I purchased. But I am very happy with the aluminum radiator. Great cooling for sure. Maybe I will take a pic too. I bought it from a place in pasadena texas called compettion sales for my 67 truck. later

Re: aluminum radiator
Not runnin it but wish I was I just paid $205 for a 4 row w/auto at wholesale price, its a modine, this aluminum is what I would have purchased, better looks and cooling granted my 4 row does great I took the fan off to put a clutch fan on drove it around for a day w/o a fan and it didn't go a tick over 195 which is the thermostat thats in it, and that was crawlin in traffic on the road it would hit 195 go down to 180ish and come back up to 195 and back again. But you cant beat the looks or strength of the aluminum radiators

Re: aluminum radiator
Wow, I'd like to have that. Wonder which mounts you'd need, 2 row? Also, do alum rads require any special type antifreeze?

Re: aluminum radiator
I am ordering the exact same one tomorrow morning. There are a couple of guys on ebay that appear to be selling the same one. I talked to one other person who bought one on ebay and they are extremely happy with it. I am also adding a dual electric fan for mine. Through Old Air. it is supposed to be a direct fit. We will see.

Re: aluminum radiator
The site says it will replace your 2,3,4 row but Im not sure what mounts The 2 row in the I6 is off to one side so Im sure that wont work, I would guess 3 row mounts since there the most popular Ill measure my 4 row tonight and see.

Re: aluminum radiator
I've got a 4-core Howe in my '69. It's not a direct fit, but it works great. Just gotta get creative with the mounting. I paid roughly $200 from Summit.

Re: aluminum radiator
I posted about this in a different thread. Here's what I wrote. Also, it does use the 4 row mounts.
"I just bought one.... it fits decently except for the right top mount. It doesn't clear the rad fill and I had to modify the mounting bracket. I havn't run the engine yet with it so I can't speak for the cooling ability, but the fit isn't great, but you can "make it work"... i'll post some pictures probably next week of my progress in a seperate thread... one other thing is that its pretty fragile. Much more so than the standard rad."
