fill sm465 through the shifter hole?
Can I refill my sm465 by taking out the shifter and pouring the oil down that hole? Seems like it would be easier than using a hose and funnel. It's out of the truck, so it just seems logical to do it that way, but if not, please correct me-

Yep- fill it till it runs out the check plug hole. I've done it that way a bajillion times

Yep, just did mine that way, 4qts. of oil is just about right.
