3/4 was the largest with coils but there was the overload spring that could be added too.

All C/30 trucks were leaf spring.
Chances are some one has no idea what they are talking about.
I have spoken to so many ppl who see a full floating rear and automaticly asume it is a one ton.

Yes I do know what I am talking about! I saw the truck setting there for sale for $900.00, and looked at it. The side badges and glove box door said C-30 on the truck and the rear end Was a 1 Ton Dually rear, with Duals Not a full floating rear. But it had Trailing arms and Coil Springs with the optional helper leaves on the Trailing arms, And it also had the 1 ton front spindles. But I didn't think that they made a 1 Ton like that with the coil springs! So that is why I was Asking Thanks.

Would have to be someone's homemade version of a coil-sprung 1-ton, because one tons in these years only came in 133" and longer wheelbases, all leaf-sprung. Those frames had straight rails under the bed that didn't accommodate a coil setup. The longest coil-sprung pickups were 127" wheelbase, and the frame rails did a little curvy-curvy thing under the bed to allow for coils. There's more details to that story but I'm betting it's a 127" wb truck with a dually rear (coil perches welded on) and spindles. Either way, unless they went through the trouble of having custom springs made, it would still have the load handling capabilities of a 3/4 ton, because GM never made rear coils rated for 1-ton pickups.

I'm sure longhonrmail was not saying that you didn't know what you're talking about, but instead was saying that whoever might be claiming to have one didn't know what they were talking about.

BLACK AND BLUE 67-72, I was refering to the owner/seller of this truck your talking about. gmcblu listed the info properly...no coils on anything larger than a 3/4 ton in the 67 - 72 trucks.
