More 72's made than 71's??

I have been looking for awhile at trucks on Craigs List (prob going to buy a complete 71 truck to rebody my lime project) and see lots of 72 chevs for sale, but not nearly as many 71's. Were there less made or something, or is it just weird luck?

Hey, 67's are the bomb! Actually, I think '67 was one of the lower production years.

Re: More 72's made than 71's??

Each year since `67 there were bigger gains in production of these trucks to where there there were something like twice as many sold(don`t hold me to exact).Definately a noteable increase. It wasn`t such a jump from 71-72,though.

I think that the 71's had the biggest production numbers.

That makes sense, since the '72 was a "last year" and the factory focus would have been on the big change ahead for '73. I don't know if that is the case....but it sounds good.
