What's this on my NP205
So, this is the 2nd X-fer I've stumbled across that the shifter lever has been modified to look like shown in the attached pic.
It looks/acts like it keeps the vehicle in 4WD all the time, only allowing you to chose HI or LO range... Anyone know for sure what it does? Anyone got a shifter lever to replace this homemade job? THX

Re: What's this on my NP205
If your talking about the 2 shift rails coming out the front of the tc, thats what all the 205's that i have seen look like. And the bar that connects them too...stock.

Re: What's this on my NP205
Cool, thanks for the input. Anyone got a pic of what a NP205 looks like with the shifter installed? I'm getting ready to install in my truck, and looking for info/help.

If you seperate those one is for High low range the other is to engage the front.

Re: What's this on my NP205
you welcome if you ride a lot of trail you may just want to go a head and twin stick it since you need a shifter any way.

Re: What's this on my NP205
Earl - I don't really trail much, but did see twin stick conversion for about $100. Seamed like a deal, if I have to buy something.
Dustin - I got shifter knobs I can use. or a good ole Hurst T handle
