New stock wheels on older 3/4 tons
I have a question. will the center cap on newer 3/4 ton wheels clear a full floating axle such as this one?. I saw this truck and noticed the front caps were on but not the back ones. I didnt know if it was because the cap didnt fit or they didnt have the adapted lug nuts for the back.. I got some of these wheels cheap to replace 16.5's

don't quote me on this but I think the old hub sticks out a little to far for the new caps. You either have to cut the center out of the cap or shim the cap out to cover the hub. I heard one guy say he used the regular lug nuts to install the wheel and then screwed the adapter nuts ontop of them to get the cap out far enough to cover the hub.
