Where does this wire go?

Does anyone know where this wire goes to? Just noticed it while I was working on my wiring. Im hoping this little bugger is the cause of my electrical issues.
Truck is a 68 with heat only in case needed.

It's the grounding strap for the gauge panel.
Clip it to the lip of the metal dash.
