what year truck?
i recently bought a parts truck and i dont know what year it is the only tag i could find is on the drivers door jamb and it has the vin but no year. my other one is a '70 and the differences ar the hood is sloped and it has a smaller back window and the e-brake lever under the dash. if you cant tell by that does anybody know where to run the vin? i have heard of a web site but dont know what it is. thanks for your help

If it has a small back window its got to a '67. The best way to tell otherwise on a Chevy is the 5th digit of the VIN will be a number. That number will be the last digit of the year model. For example:
1967= 7 1968= 8 1969= 9 1970= 0 1971= 1 1972= 2

The small back window. sloped hood, and hand controlled E-Brake lead me to believe that the truck is a '67.
The VIN should begin something like this: CE147XXXXXXX.

While yes, a small back window, hand brake, and sloped hood make it a 67... you can double check it on this VIN decoder right here on 67-72chevytrucks.com
