Suggestions

I am trading my 69 c-20 for a 70 GMC shorty w/ a 6cyl and 3 spd......whats the best tune up for these 6's for gas milage? Is there an easy drop in hei? Any help is appreciated.

Gmc looks good. But im partial to them. Im not familar with the sixes. sorry.

Thanks. The primer is hiding alot but sure seems like a decent lil driver. I go pick it up tommorow the p/o said he was getting 14-16mpg I sure hope thats right!!! HAHAHA

HEI off of a later 250 will work.

HEI is the best improvement for these motors. Smoother running better acceleration. Less than $100.00. I think 1976 was the first year for them. Easily found at parts store

Check the parts section for a factory HEI.Good ole Monojet carb.I think a header and duals with free-flowing mufflers will help,too.Kinda goes with those slots.

hei 6 cyl dist. will work of of any motor (6cyl) rom 70's to 80"s I get them from pull-a-part for about $25 each coil and all cheap easy mod just make sure to run a relay to keep the 12v feed while running

Clifford Research is a source for 6-cylinder performance stuff. Headers, intakes, etc.

My brother-in-law said his 67 6-cylinder got 9 MPG. I hope you can do better. Of course, his was nearly new, at the time.
