Question Heater core box sealant?

I'm putting a newly rebuild heater box and heater core on my firewall.

What are you guys using for sealing the heater core box to the fire wall.

They all seem to have a bit of a gap between the box and the cab. The factory seem to use some type of almost clay like material to do so?
