Tell me what this filter is for?
Can some one tell me what this filter might be used for? I bought it a few years ago for a few bucks cause i liked the look of it... the bottom is thick thick glass with the cloth filter inside.... Please let me know what i can use it for...

not a filter dryer for air because no way to drain it
looks to be an old school type of inline fuel filter for commercial type engines like irrigation pumps etc

w/ Cdowns. I used a similiar style of a fuel filter when I rebuilt my 65 VW bug back in the day. I re-ran all the fuel lines and instead of using the rubber lines in the engine compartment, I kept it steel and used a fuel filter very similiar to the one in your picture.

I was thinking fueld filter too. I think i saw one like that on my grandpas tractor a few weeks ago.
