Re: Installing side trim.
The early trim uses a combination of screws, and double sided adhesive strips. Before you make your final decision you might want to check in to the cost and availability of the trim.
73-80 trim is not available from GM so you have to either buy aftermarket, or try to find NOS. It has taken me almost two years to locate and buy a complete set of NOS trim, and it wasn't cheap. I'm not sure who makes it, but Goodmark and LMC carry reproduction trim. The quality isn't too bad unless your really anal ( I am really anal). Another thing to consider is the condition of the trim, headlamp bezels, and grill on the 75 clip. If it's not currently at a quality that you find acceptable, then you open another can of worms. The grill can be found as well as the trim. The headlamp bezels are only reproduced in ABS plastic. They are very cheap in price and quality. You can find NOS headlamp bezels but it ain't easy, and they ain't cheap.

Re: Installing side trim.
I am not so worried about findin the trim, LMC prices dont seem to bad.. and I LOVE junk yards..BUT I AM anal about having NICE good parts.. Like screws, clips, everything must be nice.. I have enough stuff to make a decent grill assembly. Actually the grille and trim on my 76 parts truck is in good shape just someone painted it black lol.. Gotta strip it. The only way I would have the older front clip on anything is if I could get ALL the trim too.. I like the newer ones without trim.

Re: Installing side trim.
here's what i was told ...the same company makes the trim for lmc, chevy duty and any other aftermarket place.it's made in taiwan and its sold by the name corvex.i believe at this time they are the only aftermarket supplier.quality varies.not the greatest.but, its not that bad either.i'm also trying to collect an nos set.i'll probably have a chance as soon as ken gets done out biddin me ..somebody posted a diagram, drawing of trim location holes one time on here.oh, and the corvex adhesive clips suck
