look at my rear end

I need help with what rear end this is. What is it?
I think I know but will wait and seee what y'all say.

And the next question would be....what's it worth? Its an open carrier with 6lug axles and came from a '68 GMC 1/2 ton.

Re: look at my rear end

Sorry no that is a corporate (GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION) 10 bolt rear axle.
Must be a light duty 1/2 ton with either a short bed or a stepside bed

I agree with the 10bolt corporate, appears to be the same rear end in my 71 half ton LWB

Re: look at my rear end

That is definately a Dana !!!! Not sure if it's a 44 or a 60. The Corp 10 bolt is much more round and it wasn't offered at that time. If it's a 1/2 ton most likely a 44. 3/4 ton then probably a 60.

Re: look at my rear end

Agreed....hands down, that is a Dana, probably a 44 but possibly a 60. Look for the other thread on this page about the same thing.

As said above, the 10-bolt coporate axle is much more rounded, and doesn't have a fill plug on the cover. Not a 12-bolt...it only has 10 bolts on the cover!
