I need you help. I am sending my truck to the paint shop New years...and want to get some advise. I need to decide if I should shave the side moldings off the truck or not. I am thinking about shaving the side trim, and marker lights. I want to keep the mirror and door handles... QUESTION...
does anyone have any Ideas on how to shave the trim and still keep the Two Tone theme? I love the Two Tone cause it keeps that Old School look...But I like the shaved look I see all the time...looks clean. Can I Have Both?? Please give me some feedback on your thoughts...any provide Pictures if aval. I am going to keep the cream/white tone...not sure what other color I want to use...but I like the green. Thanks in advance guys...

Yea...I want the two tone color in the middle...like it is now..not on the bottom. Thank for the pics though. I hope everything has been going good for you and the family by the way. Merry Christmas. Cant wait for summer.

sweet ride only thing i would change is the driveway its parked in ,,,park it mine...wouldnt change anything on it !

The only way to do what you want is with penstripping to seperate the two color's. You could do some kind of small design also maybe. Even have some trim air brushed back on afterwards.

If you really want to shave the trim, but keep the colors, one of the things that you can do is remove the trim, and do a 3D rendering of the trim with paint or pin striping and apply it to the truck. This will allow you to keep the 2-tone look, and shave the trim. I once saw this on Ken Caminiti's '55 Bel Air, before it went to the auto show. I can't find any pics of it, but it looked awesome.

It looks great the way it is but I understand the shaved look. Find a third color the goes with the two you already have and have a pin stripe done in the third color. Maybe the color of the interior as a pin stripe? Haveing the 3d airbrush trim done will be $$$$$$.

I would leave the trim..unless you want to send ME the trim and stripe yours...lol Seriously, your truck looks excellent the way it is, but it is your truck, you have to do what you like. Not what we want!

Thanks for all the feedback...I need you guys on this site...due to the lack of c-10 trucks in my area...hard to get Ideas of what is good and what is not. I love the way the trim looks...I just thought I would change it up while repairing the damage on the truck. It is prob best to keep the trim look and not loose the OLD SCHOOL look that I want. I think I will order new trim and get it to the paint shop. (I figure I can replace all trim/weatherstriping for alot less than shaving it...And The whole truck will then be new) Thanks again.. I will let everyone know when it hits the shop

i think the 3D trim would look awesome. but im sure it would cost big money, unless you know a guy. Try and find a kid straight out of Wyo Tech to try his hand at it.

Keep the trim and the two tone paint...maybe paint the cab top the same as the top color.

Makes the truck look lower and longer!

Yep, Yep, keep it the way it is...I love the look. I think they look a little funny when you two-tone it without the chrome, it takes a great color combo and design to look right IMO

Trim/two-tone...no trim/solid.
When I see a truck with the factory two-tone scheme and no trim I think they got cheap on the job.Trim just looks right,anyway.
Your truck looks so good as is.A stock,yet not,looking paint job with a custom stance and wheels/tires.Just feshen it up.

I love it just the way it is! IMO, these trucks look best with upper and lower trim, whether two-tone or solid!

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
