Fog Light Bumper

Does anyone have a fog light bumper from like LMC. How do you like the lights? Are they bright? Is it worth the extra couple bucks? Can bigger bulbs be installed in the housings? The Green Machine is needing a new front bumper and I have always wanted fog lights of some sort but didint know how to mount them. I thought this might be a solution depending on if the lights were worth it. Any and all imput is appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Fog Light Bumper

I have this bumper and it is pretty cool. The lights are good for the fog and reasonalbly bright. They have a tendancy to vibrate with the road though.

Re: Fog Light Bumper

This is mine. I built this one out of a factory steel bumper. Bolts are shaved, fog light cutout's and frenched in front tag.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I got mine from LMC for 200 and some change (early Christmas Present 05), but the e-bay deal looks good too.
I don't think they were on e-bay until just recently

I'm not sure what year Green Machine is (won't work for 71-72) but this is what I did. I put a 71/72 bumper on my 70 front. I put fog lights in the 71/72 blinker/park light cut-outs. The fog lights I bought were from Wal*Mart. I would like a light that fills the hole better but for now it works. The lights are switched on from a switch on the dash mounted knee-knocker style. The switch turns on a relay that gets 12+ volts straight off the battery.

My bumper has been on since June '05 without the benefit of the wiring being completed. I hope to finish it off this spring.

Re: Fog Light Bumper

Have you guys that are looking for these looked to see if a board vendor carries them? Im pretty sure they all do. I have no idea what they sell for, but it seems like a good place to at least start your search.

Mine has been on for over 2 years, with the first year the truck sat outside all of the time, and I have not had any rusting issues. My re-chromed grille on the other hand has started to rust along the bottom edge. Fit was good on the bumper as well.

Re: Fog Light Bumper

I've always thought it'd be nice to wire up a set of fog lights that are wired into the hi-beams, so that you get REAL bright hi-beams. It defeats the purpose oif "fog lights," but would be great for ordinary night driving.
