I find this thread interesting. The sound is referenced around a Z71 but I wonder how the Z71 sounds when compared to the true muscle car sounds on the 60's and 70's. You're right, most of them sound nothing like a performance engine or a musclecar. The first 3 are what poretty much all the kids trucks sound like around here:
