Is that the Leaf Green, not the metalic olive green you used ? Did you paint it? Looks good. Post some more!

It is not metallic, it's the original dark green. It's actually darker than the pics show it to be. I did paint it, used a Devilbiss GTI Millinium HVLP gun & SW Ultra 7000 paint system. After the fenders & hood are painted, I'll color sand everything and buff it out. I'll paint the fenders & hood this week along with the radiator support & fenderwells (black). Next will be the stepside bed & rear fenders. I'm waiting on a Mar-K right bedside that I ordered through Athey's Truck Parts. Hope it shows up within the next week. Trying to get everything painted and have it back together for the summer. I've only been working on this truck for 12 years... I think it's time to get it on the road. Thanks for the comments.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Finally! Paint on the cab!!

looks great! i think all the original colors of our trucks look good when they are done up nice. you don't see that color of green near as much as the olive greens. i think that is the same color that is on seeten's 4x4.

Re: Finally! Paint on the cab!!

In the 70 truck color spectrum...wasn't the Green in 1970 shades of olive green? I think the green in 1970 was dark and medium Olive Green? I am not sure about the other years.

That is looking nice. Very nice. Go ahead and put your first ding in it so you aren't freaking out the whole time putting back together and driving it. It really looks great. I wish I was that far along into a project again.

Re: Finally! Paint on the cab!!

My biddies dad has a 1972 GMC stepside (he bought it new) he just had repainted that color. I think he chose to have it done with metallic paint. Keep up the good work and keep us posted with the progress.
