Whatcha got for mirrors?

I have the small peep mirrors on my '71 k10, and I would like to put larger mirrors on, but I dont want to put those big brackets on that bolt to the door. What options are out there? What are you guys using? Pics would help alot.

Re: Whatcha got for mirrors?

I've got sport mirrors on the 71 K10 and 72 Blazer. The 69 has camper style mirrors originally found on 67-72s.The 72 GMC K1500 doesn't have any mirrors currently (It barely has a door after the previous owners telephone pole accident) and the 79 has these..

Stock mirrors. The Highlander has below eyelines(my favorite) and the Sierra had Camper mirrors. If I`m going to drill any holes it`s for a quality mirroe in both design/construction and visibility. The factory already put holes in the door and there`s are the bset. You will always find a replacement, too.

Re: Whatcha got for mirrors?

I got Ford mirrors with the brackets upside down.
A decent compromise between good view, not being too butt ugly, and swinging out of the way when some dork runs into one, or you need to get in a narrow spot.
I vaguely remember drilling a rivet out of the top hardware and replacing it with a (carrige?) bolt and castle nut.

Re: Whatcha got for mirrors?

Not super good pics of the mirrors but they must be later model chevy mirrors.
Work pretty well IMO.

280 some odd pics in my blazer folder and not a single 'good' shot of the door mirrors.
