Re: engine compartment restoration "sneek peek"
Yep, the engine was swapped out. Brian and Chuckles went wild on it too! Hours and hours were spent cleaning the crossmember and core support and framerails before paint was applied. The inner fenders were pulled for paint and the grill and bumper was pulled so the core support could be sprayed. I'll let Chuckles fill the details in and post the pics up since this is his baby!

Re: engine compartment restoration "sneek peek"
we did pull the engine, stripped the firewall to nothing. we sanded and preped the firewall for painting. then we did the same to the core support. i had the color for the firewall matched and used clear coat. and bought black paint and clear coat for the core support and the inner fenders. the engine was a late engine. but i found a early 70's eng 4 bolt main. had it at the machine shop for a couple of weeks. put the engine together. had to wait for santa to bring the shineing acc. the cam is not real erratic but has a good rumble, roller rockers, guide plates for the push tubes, bored 30 over and so on. the manifolds were painted with eastwood paint i got from seeten.
here are a few more pictures for now

Re: engine compartment restoration "sneek peek"
Looks good. I like the new booster too. Where'd it come from?
Is that a Professional Products intake? How well did it seal? I've heard mixed reviews on that brand.
