Head pipes
I am replacing my 69 pickup's rusty, leaking headers with some new repro angled rams horn manifolds. So, I need to connect the manifolds to the existing exhaust system. Where can I buy some head pipes? I see all kinds of complete kits and OEM crossover pipes, but no dual head pipes. I would like mandrel-bent in 2.25" or 2.5". No way can I drive the truck to the muffler shop!

Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming. Retired as a factory automation products salesman. I drove my '72 to the muffler shop that way, but then it was a short drive and a small town, and I am a cop, so my point doesn't really count, so disregard this reply.

I've always driven uncorcked to the muffler shop... well... the 2 times I've gone to a muffler shop.
I also had a car (much smaller motor) when i was in highschool, dove it the best part of a year with nothing bolted to the manifold. This is in a city of a million.... so i don't think population counts for much. Call the muflet place, and see if you can set up an apointment. Then if you do get nabbed, you have proof at to whatere you were headed. |
