Arrow Another new member

Hi all. I recently stumbled upon this message board and found lots of good info. I have a '72 GMC Sierra Grande which I purchased about 6 years ago for $300. Needless to say it needs work (the usual rocker/cab corner cancer), but it's been faithfully reliable 24/7 when my other vehicles weren't. It's got a 350 4-bolt Goodwrench crate motor in it, and according to the previous owner, over 400,000 miles on the truck.

I've mainly used it as a daily driver, parts chaser, while I work on restifying my '67 LeMans, but I'm going to start working on the old orange beast soon. This site looks like a great source of info.

Mike

If that's a $300 truck I really got ripped

Another new member here. I recently stumbled here and immidiately found good info that got rid of my off idle stumble/sneeze that i've been dealing with for 2 yrs.

Anyway, a '72 short stepside C-10 with a 350/350 and 6 years of my blood sweat & tears is what I'm driving.

Yeah, it's worth a LOT more than $300. I saw the truck broken down on the side of the road near my house and one quick ATM transaction later, it was mine.
The previous owner was convinced the engine was locked up, but it turned out to be a bellhousing bolt jammed between the flywheel and clutch cover... When I pulled the engine the next day, a mangled bolt fell out. Slapped a new bolt and new cam in it and reinstalled the engine, it's run like a champ ever since

May those who love us, love us, any of those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts.
And if God is unable to turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we may know them by their limping.
